According to DVDTimes, The Weather Man is heading to disc on January 31st, 2006:

DVD Talk Ultimate Edition
I went and saw this movie last night actually...I really enjoed it, although I didn't know what to think when I left the theater.
Nice to see an early release date.
Looking forward to this release.

I loved this flick and will definitely pick up the disc...Gore Verbinski is too busy doing Pirates 2 & 3 to record a commentary I assume... getting it none-the-less. Can't believe this movie didn't do better at the box office.

As a Nic Cage fan, I'm debating weather go see it this weekend (
), or wait a couple of months and get the disc. I'll probably go since the comments seem to be possitive. I'm definitely picking this up, along with Lord of War, which was another dark comedy - two in a row for Nic and so close together.

It flopped because it was about miserable people being and (most importantly) staying miserable. Most audiences can't handle such a story without the last half hour being "this is what I learned today" crapola.

I was at my local k-mart today and they had this out already. I have never seen this movie, and I was going to blind buy it until they changed the original artwork. I loved the original artwork used the 1st time, it looked so nice. But the new artwork was a terrible choice, and I am not going to blind buy it now, for that reason alone. Say what you want, but Paramount made a terrible decision using that artwork. I know what the film is about, and that artwork was so perfect for the movie. I still can't believe they chose the arrow artwork instead of the thrown milkshake one. I would have made this a must blind buy if they hadn't done that. So the artwork was crucial for me for a blind buy. Now I passed on it early and plan to Netflix it instead to see if I really will enjoy it, and if I do, I will try to get this used or cheap somehow.

I'm one of those ones that likes the hollywood ending crapola..I see and work with miserable people every day..don't need to see it in movie..enough unhappy endings in reality..just read the news if you want that kind of entertainment it's cheaper..lol..
