I think Predator 2 should've been 16.

They should have numbered Predator 2. If The Fly 2 gets numbered, then Predator 2 deserves it. It's only "Special Edition".

Is the upcoming AvP Director's Cut going to be numbered?

How many of the Five Star Collection titles haven't made it over to this numbered Collector's Edition series yet? I can only think of M*A*S*H, SPEED and THE FRENCH CONNECTION. Any others?

Is the new Sound of Music numbered?

It was a five star

Edited when I noticed it is #5. now I'm confused. Is the new 40th anniversary #5 or is this one something different?

No, it's the old one. The numbered one is the original five-star edition repackaged in a digipack. The new edition isn't numbered AFAIK.

I've never these numbered at all...

6. Moulin Rouge
7. Die Hard
8. There's Something More About Mary

..this may be the crappiest line ever. yet I own most of them...
How many of these were just repacks with a number?
How many times has the Abyss, ID4, adn the day after Tomorrow just been repacked to sell another edition?

2. Cast Away -Repack
3. Independence Day -Repack
4. Planet of the Apes 2001 -Repack
5. Sound of Music -Repack
6. Moulin Rouge -Repack-I'm assuming
7. Die Hard -Repack-I'm assuming
8. There's Something More About Mary -Repack-I'm assuming
9. Fight Club -Repack-
10. Alien
11. Aliens
12. Alien3
13. Alien Resurrection
14. Planet of the Apes 1968
15. Committments
15. Predator (duplicate 15, no 16)
17. I, Robot

It's totally retarded that these are numbered at all. What's the point? At least Criterion has a relatively small number of releases. Fox can't even establish a uniform standard for naming all their 2-Disc releases. They have these numbered Collector's Editions, some Five Star Collections, some Special Editions, etc. etc. Some are repackagings, some are individual releases from box sets, some have sequels that are not included while others do...what a mess.

As mentioned in another thread, Speed and The French Connection will be rereleased in February as "Collector's Edition". I'm sure they'll be numbered.

Anyone know if any of the bigger 2 disc editions have been repackaged to a smaller regular "single-disc style" amaray (but still keeping the 2 discs)?

I was just about to make that post. If those pictures are authentic, and the above poster was certain about his review copy of AvP being numbered 23, then it looks like Fox made their second mistake in just 26 titles.
