House, M.D. ...possible anamorphic release?

Will there be a possible anamorphic release of House, M.D. (Season One) in the future? I'm thinking of buying it ...but knowing that it's not anamorphic currently, I might skip out.

I highly doubt it. Maybe on the next format though.

Could you clarify on what you mean by "next format"? Region 2/4?

I think he means HD-DVD or (more likely) Blu-Ray.

If the show lasts, say, 7 seasons, then the 7th season set will come out in 2011. By then, whichever HD disc format wins will probably have taken over the market. So a any sort of "House Box" they'd want to release would almost certainly be in the native widescreen format of HD.

So, anamorphic NTSC? Doubtful, IMO. Widescreen HD? If the show continues successful, sure.

Yep.

I mean CSI Season 1 has not even been re-released yet in widescreen, and that is a much more popular show. The best that you can hope for right now is that seasons 2 and on of House will be anamorphic.

I don't remember season 1 being shot in widescreen.
