As for the dvd. It's rumored to be released in February. Off the top of my head they should include, IMO.....Beulah v. Fonzie, Raven v. Dreamer, Ian v. Axl Rotten Taipei death match, Sabu v. Sandman in the stairway to hell match. Pitbulls in their various dog collar matches, public enemy, cactus, terry funk...i could go on.

I still watch the Sandman/Sabu Stairway to Hell match, brutal stuff. IIRC Sabu breaks his jaw halfway through

Fans of Extreme Championship Wrestling can rejoice as the WWE will be putting out a brand new DVD that will focus on some of the craziest matches that ECW ever put on. The DVD, which is titled "Bloodsport - ECW's Most Extreme Matches" will be released on February 7th, 2006 and will be hosted by none other than the former owner of ECW himself Paul Heyman.

Here is the full match listing of what you can expect to see on the DVD:

*ECW World Tag Team champions The Public Enemy vs. Cactus Jack & Mikey Whipwreck (August 27, 1994 at ECW Arena)

*The Sandman & Terry Funk vs. Cactus Jack & ECW World champion Shane Douglas (March 17, 1995, ECW Arena)

*Axl Rotten vs. Ian Rotten - Taipei Death Match (Hardcore Heaven '95, July 7, 1995)

*Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Psicosis - Mexican Death Match (November to Remember '95, November 18, 1995)

*ECW World Television champion Chris Jericho vs. Shane Douglas vs. 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Pitbull #2 (ECW Heatwave '96)

*Tommy Dreamer vs. Brian Lee - Weapons Match (ECW Hardcore Heaven '96)

*Sabu vs. Rob Van Dam - Stretcher Match (The Doctor is In, August 3, 1996)

Terry Funk vs. Sandman vs. Stevie Richards (ECW Barely Legal)

*ECW World champion Terry Funk vs. Sabu - No Ropes Barbed Wire Match (Born to Be Wired)

*Beulah McGillicutty vs. Bill Alfonso (As Good as It Gets, September 1997 at ECW Arena)

*Tazz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow - ECW Death Match (ECW Heatwave '8 PPV)

*ECW World champion Shane Douglas vs. Tazz (Guilty As Charged '99 PPV)

*The Dudley Boyz vs. Spike Dudley & Balls Mahoney - Chicago Street Fight

*ECW World champion Mike Awesome vs. Spike Dudley (Guilty As Charged 2000 PPV)

*Rhino vs. The Sandman (ECW on TNN, February 2000)

*Super Crazy vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Little Guido (ECW on TNN, March 2000)

*Tommy Dreamer vs. CW Anderson - "I Quit" Match (ECW Guilty as Charged 2001) with Alternate commentary featuring Tommy Dreamer and Jonathan Coachman

*Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka (ECW One Night Stand PPV)
This kinda sucks because a lot of these matches are on other ECW DVDs

I already have some of those matches on other dvd's, but I will still buy it. Also is that Mike Awesome vs Spike Dudley match the one where spike gets thrown into the crowd from the ring.

That was Bam Bam Bigelow that did that. The match list pretty much sucks and there are a ton of matches that could easily replace the ones that are there. No Raven/Dreamer, No Gangstas, no New Jack/Kronus vs. Dudleys? What about the other Barbed Wire matches? This stinks of trying to promote names known to the WWE sheeple via an ECW vehicle.

Wow. No Raven/Dreamer, huh? That's weak. And I was also shocked that there were no Eliminators/Gangstas matches. Weak listing altogether.

I'll pass.

I'll get it if it has a documentary about the matches and ECW. If it's just the matches, forget it. I have them all.

From what Mike Johnson has said, the matches were all hand picked by Paul Heyman.

I saw this listed for today in Best Buy's Sunday flier. Was it moved up or is this a goof on Best Buy's part? If so, then they had better offer it next week for the price they had it listed this week ($16.99).

Not at mine apparently, the guy who was checking the inventory on it was having to check for about three people including myself! I thought it looked weird, as I had the date of the 7th burnt into my head.

Can't hurt to check. While you're out there, you can pick up the TNA Bound For Glory disk that came out today.

i noticed that the dvd has a TV-MA symbol on the cover, so i wonder if it will be uncut in terms of language.
