As it stands now, I only own 11, and I don't think I'll want to buy 12 more movies right away just for this.

I have no doubt that someone here already has all of these films, and good luck to whoever posts a photo of them first.

Thanks for the helpful addition to the thread.

So the idea is to post a picture (or several) of your collection of all of Spielberg's films on DVD?

That would be pretty silly. Anyone who already owns all of Spielberg's films would hardly want to own further copies of the same discs.

How do you get "own further copies of the same discs" from FinkPish saying "post a picture (or several) of your collection"?

Really, I know thath not everybody loves "the master" but it's A FACT that he's the only director, with more of 30 years of carear and more of 20 movied made, that he's complete philmography it's stil edit in dvd (try another one please: no Allen, no Kubrick-just 18 movies, no everyone)

Of course the photo will rappresent "ensamble" the dvds from the floor (parquet we prefer) own really home

It's good that you're confused, because I'm confused too. And I suspect we're not the only ones. If this is a contest, what's the prize? I assumed the prize was the Spielberg films themselves and as I said, that would be silly. But nothing else is listed.

Not that I care, but is there a prize at all for this contest? Or is it just a request for coverart disguised as a contest?

mes amis, friends why you're so confused?
I'm sure that the cause it's not only may "catastrofic" english
make clarity:
1) At the moment in Europe we have 21/23 (War of the Worlds is available from November 15th and "1941" never exited)
2) In USA have 22/23 (War of the Worlds is available from November 22th)

I want to send a platonic challenge without no prize in racing silk. But from 22 in USA Steven Spielberg will become the only director with at least 30 years of career and at least 20 films made, whose films will be published all in dvd. Obvious therefore that the first one that of it will publish the photo of all together will have straight to a "bravo", even though platonic

But since for an European it would be impossible to possess all the dvd, will make an exception just for "1941" R1

That's right?

So basically the "contest" is "Does anyone own all of Spielberg's movies on DVD? If so, prove it by posting pics."

Right?

I'm going to Book Talk to get my head clear.

How about a new contest: re-read the entire dictionary and hold your breath until you've memorized it. If you can complete this task, I'll send you a dictionary.

The same prize as people get for watching the most horror movies in October, etc. Similar games and contests are played all the time on this forum without any prize. Is that really very confusing? gipal makes it clear in the first sentence of the first post that the prize here is a "symbolic" one.

And how well do you think you'd do if you tried to post to an Italian message board?

Cut gipal a break. At least he's trying to post something potentially fun for people that are interested in it. That's far more interesting to me than a typical thread making fun of someone's post...

I disagree. Martin Scorsese has at least 20 feature-length films, and they're all available on DVD. [I say "at least" because you could also count "No Direction Home", "My Voyage To Italy", "Personal Journey Through Cinema..."]

Also, two of the three TV-movies Spielberg directed are not available. And I'm confused why Woody Allen doesn't count.

This thread confuses me.

What confuses me is that the rules state that you must post a picture of having all 23 including war of the worlds released on Nov 22, but the rules also say that the game ends on Nov 15.
I think thats what it says.
Also, is it really a great thing to have be the only director to have made so many movies? Couldn't it just be a director with no taste that will direct anything?

I wouldn't, so I don't. But if I did, I'd probably expect that some schmuck would give me a hard time about it. Lighten up, Francis.
