Broken Flowers - 1/3/06

We all know the release date, but does anyone know what it will come with?

Commentary? Deleted Scenes? Featurettes? The trailer? (I'm not holding my breath for it since we're talking about Universal/Focus, but I'm still a bit hopeful)

Well for those of us who know Jim Jarmusch and DVD we know one thing for sure, he will not ever do a commentary for a film again. He tried it for Stranger Than Paradise supposedly but it was so awful it couldn't be used. He is not much of an extras guy so I wouldn't expect much, maybe some featurette or small doc if we are lucky. Down By Law was an exception. To me it doesn't matter much since it is Jim and Bill and I enjoyed the flick so it is a buy, like the cover also.

It's a tight, masterfully crafted film without a single wasted scene. Reminds me of the rare music album without a single bit of filler. Perfect with or without extras. One of only a handful of DVDs I'm looking forward to buying after having seen the movie in the theater.

Thank goodness. I wanted to see this terribly, but it didn't play near me. At all. Like I would have needed to take a plane to see this. So I will be picking this up for sure. I trust all involved parties to make a good movie.

I got the DVD the other day and noticed that the disc itself has the "DTS" symbol. Maybe this was discussed elsewhere already, but was there going to be a DTS track but they scrapped it and just forgot to take off the symbol?

I think it was probably a misprint.

However, it would have been nice to have BF in DTS.
