Flightplan -- Due 1/24/06

Just announced from Buena Vista Home Entertainment is the recent Jodie Foster thriller Flightplan for release on January 24th.

Look for separate 2.35 anamorphic and fullscreen editions, each featuring Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary track with the filmmakers, "The In-Flight Movie: The Making of Flightplan" behind-the-scenes featurette and trailers. Retail will be $29.99.

Isn't ~$30 MSRP typical for new releases?

Total premise relies heavily on suspension of disbelief and the ending was crap, but it was still an entertaining flick overall, so I will be picking this up.

I rather enjoyed this movie, especially with its Hitchcock-esque plot turns. This will definitely be on my list in January.

If it's $15 or so on release day, I will definitely pick it up as a blind buy.

Skipped this in theatres so it's an automatic blind buy for me.

Another featurette has been added to the disc specs: "Cabin Pressure: Designing the Aalto E-474"

Also updated with a large look at the cover art...

I'm glad they added another featurette, maybe they'll tack some deleted scenes on or something. Now if the documentary is a good hour, I won't complain.

Touchstone has some of the highest priced discs on the market, and their price drops take longer than many other studios...why I don't know.

I got an email from DVD Empire changing the release date to TBA, and I noticed it's not listed on any other sites either. Any news on a new release date?
