Ditto. I can safely say I've bought some DVDs I don't need, I've even bought a few DVDs I've never watched, but when I can't even remember which DVDs I have, it's time to lay off the buying.

Wasn't there a thread about this last year? I tried to search but couldn't find it.

Ohwell...

No, I haven't.

I'm ashamed to say that I have. Never an on-line purchase (I usually double-check my Profiler for each order), but it has happened on B&Ms before.

I know I bought two copies of Weird Science, Mrs. Robinson, and a couple others (probably around 10 total). In all cases, it was an older title that I have seen several times in the past and didn't realize I already snatched up for the collection.

Not me but my mom does it all the time. Everytime I go to her house, I check her movies and get me some doubles!

I've done this a few times...just did it earlier today (The Big Hit). Often I almost buy something, stop myself for some reason, then I see it at home on my rack.

On the "out of control" thing...at >1000 titles, it's hard to remember each and every one of them. I do my best, though.

i bought two copies of Shock Corridor from DDD's 20% off sale last year by accident. I've had a wrapped copy just sitting on my desk ever since...i should probably think of selling that off at some point.

I accidentally rebought the Midnight Movies double feature of "House of Usher" and "Pit and the Pendulum" during the last DDD 20% off sale. I just got all those MM DVDs confused (combined with the excitement of the big sale). It's definately a sign that I don't need to be buying all these DVDs.

More times than I care to remember. Most have been from B&M. Now I don't take the plastic off until I have checked it against my DVDAF file. If its a duplicate, I return it and blame it on my wife. Also I have got a couple of dupes during DDD sales. For some reason items I have moved from my wishlist to the shopping cart stays in my wish list. I end up sending them back or DVD's make wonderful gifts.
