A few have come out. Mostly the ones that are re-releases in box sets. Yet some like Blazing Saddles and Willie Wonka were re-released individually.

blazing saddles was an all new dvd special edition though

there is a thread about snappers to keep case

warner has done this on a few titles already. it is possible that it will happen when supplies run down, however don't expect them just to recall the snappers for the sake of recalling them. thats not economical, and these are businesses.

Anyone know if the Dirty Harry films or Full Metal Jacket are getting special edition re-releases? I'd really like to see the Dirty Harry films re-released with some more special features (like a commentary track by Clint Eastwood on each of the films) and Full Metal Jacket just strikes me as one of those movies that you'd think would have a special edition out for it but doesen't.

That sucks, but what about Full Metal Jacket? I've been looking around in the forum and I keep finding posts about an '06 re-release of Kubrick films, but so far it looks like all that's been confirmed is 2001. Also, is there going to be a Matrix 2-disc SE re-release? I was in Best Buy the other day and over heard an employee say something about a Matrix 2-disc DVD coming out next year. I'd like to know if this is true or not, because I've discovered that you can't always trust the guys at Best Buy because it seems like they don't know what they're talking about sometimes.

well....the kubrick films should be getting a re-release. Until then you can either get the OOP mgm disc that was in a keepcase, or the silver box deluxe edition...the case is slightly oversized, and looks very nice.

nothing is sure for the matrix...if it did happen, I assume it would coencide with a video game release. The Big box set, with the bust had an msrp drop and can be had for less than 40 bucks...so that may be an option.

They might be re-releasing it for the Path of Neo video game that should be released pretty soon.
