Is Freddy vs Jason going out of print?

I tried to buy it from DeepDiscountDVD and it says 'Out of Stock'. I went to 2 local Best Buys, and neither of them had it in stock.

Just curious if this is going out of print, or if I just happened to search at stores that need to re-order their supplies.

This was going to be my reply as well. Retailers have a tendency to sell more horror movies during the Halloween season. So there is a great possibility the title could be sold out temporary, until re-ordering, and shipment arrival.

I'd just like to say that I love this DVD. I love the movie, I love the special features, I love the total package.

No. Who would buy an overpriced, non-anamorphic version of F v J?

How long has it been since Criterion released a non-anamorphic dvd? 4 years?

In all liklihood, it's just out of stock. However, they may be pulling a "Blade 2", by disco-ing the 2 disk in favor for a single disk release. That's New Line for ya.

I doubt its out of print, but even if it is its easy to get. As mentioned Walmart has it for 7.50 , and most rental places still have cheap used copies.

It is an excellent DVD, it was a fun movie and has some great extras.

Its too bad there is no sequel in the works.

It's on the Warner Bros./New Line fixture this month at Circuit City so it's certainly not going OOP. Horror just sells extremely well this entire month, which is why so many big titles are coming out (Amityville Horror, Saw: SE, Land of the Dead).

I'm surprised Disney has not rereleased this with a 16x9 transfer. And put it in their Vista Series.
