OK after reading the votes from the last hour or so I think I want Cathespin back.

1. You people suck. Jack Burton vs. Dana Whitaker? Since the Sports Night DVDs are bare bones, I'll take Toben. "I'll be in my bunk."
2. Franchot
3. Wow ... another hard one. Cleaver
4. The Ferret

Eh, not much left to pick from, but here goes:

1. Scott27 vs. Toben (Toben's collection contains only two films I like--Donnie Darko and Aliens--and lots of stuff--horror, sci-fi, anime--that I don't)

2. Franchot vs. Mrs.Nesbit (Despite the junky Reservoir Dogs, Mrs. Nesbit's collection is okay, but Franchot has some great classics)

3. Cleaver vs. Count de Monet (this one is obvious, on the strength of Grand Illusion, The Third Man, Taxi Driver, and a couple of the Kubrick films)

4. jfrost vs. The Ferret (too many middling films like The Usual Suspect and True Romance bog down jfrost's collection; The Ferret's only real misstep is Almost Famous)

Yeah, that's how I feel. Which is why I also sprinkled in some lower-brow geek faves like THE THING, SPIDER-MAN 2, MONTY PYTHON, IRON GIANT, etc., hoping to launch a successful attack on two fronts.

Oh well. I've already got THE FLY anyway, so it's not a huge deal for me. If it was a better disc, I might fight for my collection more passionately, but the writing's on the wall. Best of luck to the survivors.

I don't have The Fly, surprisingly. The stores near me don't seem to carry it

illennium which are the couple of Kubrick films you like from the box, because I bet you like the ones I hate and hate the ones I like. I love The Shining and FMJ.

Of the films included in the box set, my favorites are Dr. Strangelove, Lolita, and Barry Lyndon. I also really like Paths of Glory. Spartacus and A Clockwork Orange are pretty good. I don't care for the others, especially 2001.
