Should be interesting to see if they keep the commentary.

Paramount left off the featurette that was on the original DVD for Witness on the newly released SE.

I hate it when they do that. I'm a completist and will keep my old dvds when I double dip if even a production note or trailer or filmography or whatever is left off the new release. Yes, I'm stupid that way....

Also, I certainly remember that scene by the pool...but hadn't heard about it being left off the last DVD, or anything of the sort. What's the story behind that?

(Or given it some respect and not given it a stupid name at all.)
I disagree. And am right.

But is it Jennifer Grey Old Nose Edition or Jennifer Grey New Nose Edition?

I can't believe how many people claim to care about this movie so much, but never bothered to pick up the awesome first edition that actually has a John Hughes commentary on it!

Actually, Jennifer Aniston wouldn't have been too far off. She did play Jeannie in the TV version. Ami Dolenz played Sloane.

It would be awesome. There wouldn't even be room for the "Widescreen Collection" banner.

Kristy Swanson was so cute back then.

I would have named it after the line we used to quote in college:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off-"Rooney, Uuh!! I want to see you out there too. I wanna have a few word with you, by God!"-Edition.

Perhaps they couldn't use the Save Ferris SE name because of some legality/copyright infringement with the band, Save Ferris? *shrugs* dunno

Well that would seem dumb since their name obviously came from Ferris Bueller.

I can't believe anyone out there actually likes these "Totally Extreme Lamed Up Edition" titles. You have to be the only one. Remember Universal's classy-looking Collector's Edition designs? Now it's all these shit photochopped covers with floating heads and plastered with some lame-ass contrived Edition title. Paramount decided to join in on the fun, so now we have the Tommy Boy: Holy Schnike Edition, the Longest Yard: Lockdown Edition, the Airplane!: Don't Call Me Shirley Edition, and this latest abomination. If the forthcoming Wedding Crashers: Uncorked Edition is any indication, New Line has apparently decided to commence this same program. When will this madness stop?!? What's next, Criterion releasing The Seven Samurai: My Sword's Bigger Than Yours Edition?

Uh...I don't want to jump the gun, but I don't see the John Hughes commentary track listed there.

Nor the trailer...grrr...

Oh, by the way, that cover looks way fake...I doubt it's the final approved artwork.

I want the "Your ass is mine!" edition.

Oh yeah, just to add my pennies to the undressing by the pool scene, I can't say I remember ever seeing it. Just remember the dialogue referring to it happening.

The Wedding Crashers DVD is under New Line's Platinum Series banner. "Uncorked" is just another way of saying it's an unrated edition.

My 2 cents on the 'missing' scene discussion.

I did not see this movie in theaters, but saw it many times on non-premium cable TV back in the day.

I think I remember a scene of Cameron quickly shifting his eyes in reference to looking at a changing Sloane, but maybe that is in their discussion of it.

But I tend to think that if the scene existed their would be screencaps to find. This is a major movie and a supremely gorgeous actress. If there were scenes of her in her underwear they would be out there.

I believe this is a manufactured memory for many of us.

I hope Paramount takes Richard Roeper up on his offer to record a commentary track for this film (one of his favorites), but they probably won't.
