So who's head are we getting for Season 7? Granted the older episodes are generally better, but I'm a Simpsons whore. It's still one of my favorite shows. I'll probably be getting the replacement box as well if they go that route again. It'd be nice if they just released it in the alternative packaging as well from the get-go.

Plus the minor-yet-fair complaints about the packaging fade into nothingness when I think about getting S7 before year's end. S5 - 8 are just brilliantly great, IMO, and I'm very happy to see the release schedule speed up a bit.
Plus I can't wait to see who shot Mr. Burns.

And by "new packaging" I mean old...plus new:

Two different packages for season 7. There's also a massive list of extras.

When FOX sees that nobody is buying the marge version, maybe they'll finally get their heads straight and release season 8 in the normal packaging only. They're one step closer to realizing how fucking stupid this whole thing was.

I for one will be purchasing the regular case. Now if we can just get Fox to actually come up with a replacement case for season six that actually fits in with the rest of the series, instead of that stupid ass slip cover, then we will be fine.
News flash to studios: gimmicky packaging is ideal for special editions, single movies, deluxe collectors edition stuff...not for stuff like this! KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF!

"Fish Called Selma: Bill Oakley, Josh Weinstein, Jeff Goldblum, David Silverman"
Goldblum, sweet. He is truly one of the most entertaining interviewees that I have ever seen, I can imagine him over 20+ minutes of commentary.
Peaches....Peaches!

I'll be going with the old style DIGIpak packaging. The fact that they will be offering both versions in December for season 7 makes the crap we got in the mail for season 6 all the more crappier...
Yikes!!! I'd hate to have to fit this on my dvd shelf:

* Wink. Of course I made the hair taller than what it will be.
