They still do 2-disc sets I think, but only with new titles...catalog titles, which is what weve all been bitching about (Mallrats, Casino, Orgazmo), are all double-sided discs.

My hope is that an eventual DVD release (not necessarily the first one) contains previews for Serenity 2 .

What I want to see...

-widescreen, obviously
-commentary by Joss Whedon
-commentary by the cast
-Whedon's introduction to the prescreenings
-animated "Fruity Oaty Bar" commercial in it's entirety
-R. Tam sessions
-deleted scenes
-bloopers
-trailers and tv spots
-behind the scenes featurettes

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean by "can't afford to make.."?

Never understood why some people had to hate on the show. If you don't like it why bother coming into a post regarding DVD content.

I'm hoping it will include the 30-min Sci-fi channel making of Serenity hosted by "Jayne". I think it's on yahoo right now, streaming of course.

Correct. Hollywood knows that sci-fi geeks will double and triple dip continuously. But I think it will be more like this:

- Movie only
- Movie with collectible Firefly key chain
- Movie with collectible Firefly trading cards
- 2 disc version
- 2 disc version with collectible sterling silver ship
- 2 disc verion with collectible bobble heads (each DVD comes with a different cast memeber : collect them all)
- Hi def version
(repeat all of the above, but with hi def).
