There will be No Kill Bill SE's Ever! (Indefinitely postponed)
From IGN DVD:
As recently as today we learned that the proposed special-edition release DVD of Kill Bill Volumes One and Two has been postponed indefinitely. We think this might have something to do with Miramax's recent departure from the auspices on Disney (the Weinsteins consider Tarantino the centerpiece of their crown jewels); but we'll let you know as soon as we hear the final word.

That just means that those who held off on the single disc releases in anticipation for SE's have to put off on their "Quentin told us a SE was coming, i'm glad I waited!" posts I wonder if we'll still see those 2 years after the initial release.
Wasn't the pieced together movie supposed to happen earlier this Summer in August too?

Nobody knows for sure. It has never been announced to be postponed, but it has been rumored and said to be forthcoming. Wish they were coming out soon, but no rush. Tons to buy anyway...

I've had the single discs since the first day they came out.
the special edition would have to have something really awesome for me to even care at this point.

I am glad I single dipped it too. By the times these ever get around to hitting, I would have more than gotten my money's worth out of these. Hell, I watch this movie a lot, so I already have my money's worth. Waiting this long would never have been an option. I am glad I caved.

agreed with Tyler. they're coming out at some point...too much money at stake.
I've waited this long without buying the single discs, I can wait another year or two.

And what's the deal with this thread title? Not even remotely true...

Umm...
this is talking about the films, not the collected complete film T. has edited together aka The Whole Bloody Affiar. Disney owns the seperate movies and Weinstien and co own the Bloody Affiar verson. So, a SE of the Bloody Affiar cut is a given.

Er, yeah, "postponed indefinitely" does NOT = "No SE's Ever!"
SE's were never officially announced anyway, so I wasn't expecting anything soon as it is.
Now, I have been waiting for some word on "The Whole Bloody Affair". Nothing yet though.
Oh well, I picked up the regular DVDs on the day they came out (along with the Japanese version of Vol 1), and have been enjoying them ever since. Glad I didn't wait (not that I could have).

it will happen....no telling when. And agreed it will be the whole bloody affair, which is why I have never had a problem buying the disc on day one. Diffrent cuts of the movie....good times

I own the current versions, and I'm fine with that for now. I can wait. And when dealing with movies I never say "never." I'll bet at some point in the future they'll all come together and agree that the time is right to collect our money...

I also bought both the day they came out as well as the Jap. version of Vol. 1, and can't imagine any real fan of these movies holding out for so long ... especially after seeing several 2 for $20 B&M sales offerring this not too long ago. I mean, it's Kill Bill, come on!
