Did Sony purchase MGM?
A title that I own that is MGM here is Sony in other countries and is being released this month. New anamorphic transfer whereas here it's non. Same artwork, etc. Did Sony purchase MGM or is it just handled by Sony in other countries?

Huh...so this hasn't been discussed here at all?
I'm wondering if I should hold off on purchasing this movie from another region to see if it gets re-released here anamorphically.
