For a comedy, I thought the soundtrack was solid. They seem to get the shaft when it comes to the audio mixing.

It's a great disc. Great video transfer and a fantastic 5.1 mix for this kind of movie

Bonus marks to New Line for using a chat-based acronym on one of the flyers inside the case

So if I'm reading this right, you got the Unrated version but didn't want it?

Anyway, my wife and I really enjoyed this movie. We didn't get a chance to see it in the theater, so we saw it for the first time last night. I don't think we have laughed that hard at a movie in years. I was literally in pain from laughing during the scene at the dinner table where Vince Vaughn's character gets "handled". Definite thumbs up.

Doesn't it come with the theatrical and the unrated?

Yup.

Saw it three times in the theaters, but I'm holding off on buying it right away. Did get a chance to watch the uncorked edition and was surprised. Nothing too vulgar added, so it's clear that they were removed for timing reasons. The scene with Vaughn and the old woman is probably the only one that may have been worth keeping, though. Vaughn and Wilson bumping into the one-time hook-up may have been a keeper, too.

I still love the movie, but it's clearly carried by Vaughn and it runs probably 20 minutes too long.

Wedding Crashers Audio??

Well, we watched this last night and was amazed at the Audio...in a BAD way! I do not know if there was something wrong with this DVD that I got from Netflix, but am sure it is not my system.

We started watching as usual. My setup is a rather high-end system with a Meridian 568 Proc. When it started, something was VERY wrong with the 5.1. The Meridian did show the 5.1 Dig THX stream, but the sound was VERY soft and ONLY from the Center channel! I checked other scenes and it was the same. We watched it in 2.0 Prologic!

I know it is not the system as I put another DVD in and it was fine.

So, was the sound supposed to be from the Center, and at a low level? I did not wait for there to be music.

TIA

Thank you...

Strange...I wonder what could cause only 1 channel of the 5.1 to work?!

Also, do you remember the Preview of the Teacher who taught BallRoom Dancing to high school kids? I want to add this to Netflix and forgot the name of the Movie that was Previewed on Wedding Crashers.

I think the movie you're referring to is 'Take The Lead' with Antonio Banderas as the lead role. Its due for cinematic release on April 7th.

Thank you both. Well, the only DVD that only has Center Channel sound was that one...so I am not going to worry.

Also, it WAS Take the Lead! Thank you!
