sounds really chock full of good stuff. i think i remember copying this from another VHS tape or something and was the worst quality imaginable. remembered not liking the movie too well, but back then i was very young and stupid. now, i am just the latter.

me too. should be here by Friday at the latest. strangely, while the site still says $24.99, i was only charged $19.99. i think because there is no more Limited Edition and all are packaged in standard amaray case. the "tin" or special packaging has been officially cancelled.

I think it might be like the Texas Chainsaw remake where the studio changed the release date despite copies being widely available on the original date (well, it's Severin, so maybe "previous date" would be a better choice of words).

This worth a blind buy? Looks great and it is loaded with extras, with good word about the flick it might push me more to get it.

Why was the limited edition canceled? Did people already buy it and it sold out or did they just not release one?

Re: Hardware (Dylan McDermott) - Where is it?

HMV is advertising it well:

Sometime in the future, a man acquires some pieces of an android for his metal sculpting girlfriend. The android was once a machine designed to destroy humans. In the night it reassembles itself and resumes its mission in this politically pretentious film.

do you think you could elaborate on what was wrong with yours and what if anything you did to fix it? i'm being sent another, so just in case the next one is falty as well, i want to see if it is a production problem or my player problem.

thanks again.

It froze when I went to the extras menu. Then I ejected/loaded the disc and it froze at the beginning of the movie. Repeated eject/load and it was fine... movie and extras.

I noticed they disabled the time counters on both discs when the video files are playing.

Yep, no time code and a hellacious buzz/vibration upon loading. Stops a few seconds into the opening credits for me ....
