This is the 8 disc set from the yearbook edition. Where did you guys put your discs? Did you just keep them in the yearbook? Did you put them in blank dvd cases?

Ideally I'd like to get a empty box set of the regular "Freaks and Geeks" dvd and put at least six of the eight in there. That way it can at least go on my shelf and I can remember that I actually OWN the discs. But I don't think there is anywhere you can buy anything like that.

So what did you all do?

I kept them in the yearbook and displayed it on top of the shelf that houses my collection. Funny thing is, most of the people I met in collge though it was MY highschool yearbook. I have since taken it down.

Took the discs out and put them into two special 4-pack keep cases with some custom covers.

They're in the yearbook, on top of the Can-Am DVD drawers...

I collect yearbooks. I have about 200 different High School year books from 1980-1992 (and one from 1998 if I include my own) so they are all in this one bookcase in my office. I have the freaks and geeks book in there like it's a normal yearbook.

What an interesting collection. Can I ask....why?

Yeah Lastdays...how much do you pay for them on average and where do you buy them from?

I usually pay $2-10 for them. Why? They are great:

1. They are pretty hilarious
2. If they have signatures, you can sit down with a yearbook and get an entire year (or four years) worth of drama in an hour
3. They are rare, there are probably anywhere between 200-2000 of each book tops
4. I write screenplays/stories and they are great for names. Coming up with names has always been hard for me and there are some I never would have though of in the yearbooks, this is initially why I started buying them.

Where do I get them?
Yard Sales, Used Book stores, estate sales, ebay

I don't have the yearbook version due to the $80 more it costs than the regular set. Too rich for my blood considering the little you get for that extra $$.

Anyway, genesysdtp(and various other sites) sell 1" thick cases that house 8 discs. Good quality.

People really sell their yearbooks to strangers on eBay? I don't know if I would want others to own a piece of my high school drama.

As for the topic, I left them in the yearbook, which I keep on top of where my normal DVDs are.

I have a yearbook from Ringold High School that has Joe Montana in it, but I have the regular, non-yearbook edition of Freaks and Geeks.

im currently thinking about picking up the f&g yearbook...can you guys explain why you might want to keep the discs elsewhere besides in the book? hard to access?

and why are many of you keeping it on top of the shelf? other than displaying it, is it oversized?

so many questions, id love to know what im getting into before dropping 120 bones on this one...

It's the size of a normal yearbook.

I think some people just want all of their discs in the same place or like them in hard cases.

They are not hard to access.
