MGM Home Entertainment has announced a number of films starring the late, great Marlon Brando. Look for Burn!, A Dry White Season, The Fugitive Kind and The Missouri Breaks to make their DVD debuts on November 8th From the looks of it, "Burn!" will be released in its 112-minute version and not the complete 132-minute cut. Retail is $14.94 each.

Good. All of Brando's films deserve to be on DVD....let's hope for proper transfers.

I wonder why Burn! (Queimada) is not the 132 minute version. I don't have links handy, but I'm sure I've read of new 35mm prints of the full length version playing in the U.S. in the past few years.

Perhaps the complete longer version wasn't dubbed into English, similar to The Leopard? If that's the case, it's a shame that separate Italian and U.S. versions couldn't be included on each side of a flipper.

Still, at MGM's ~$15 price point ($9.12 at DDD), this is probably a buy for me. I saw it chopped to pieces on a snowy commercial UHF station years ago and even in that compromised presentation it looked fascinating.

Missouri Breaks! Not a great film, but Nicholson and Brando together. Gotta have it.

Can't wait.

Interested in renting Burn! Saw the final 20 minutes of it on one of the Encore/Starz (could have been The Movie Channel) channels a few months ago, and it looked quite interesting.

Burn! is definitely an interesting movie - it has a great score as well. I so wished that we'd get the extended cut on DVD.

You are correct. Late last year the 132m version was screened at the LA County Museum of Art.
