The Original Transformers oop what the hell!?

damn i've been gone for awhile and just checking my collection at dvdaficionado, it seems all 5 sets are out of print, that sucks i only had the chance to pick up three of them.

Any news of them re-releasing them?

*note to mods not my auction, this is what got me asking ^^^*

I think Rhino lost the rights. Same with GI Joe (grrr, didn't even complete the series)...

If I recall, Sony has the current rights, but have not heard plans of new sets. Most likely will happen if the new movie ever happens.

In short, Rhino lost its rights. Probably going to be re-released when the live-action films comes by.

59.99 msrp a set movie was 19.99 msrp

i only had the first box....didn't want to jump in when they were going oop. The rhino releases weren't great to start...so I'll let some one else take a stab at it

I am taking the same approach as you. Hopefully Sony will do a better job.

You could always get the r2 sets. The complete series are available, including the entire Gen-1 originals (ie the ones without the crappy spinning stuff that accompany every scene change in Gen-2!).

There are four boxsets, and you can pick them up for about $25, plus shipping costs. Amazon.co.uk would send them to the US.

i see a hong kong set on ebay all of the time that comes with an action figure....the box looks cool, but I'm pretty sure it was a boot, so i passed
