Skipping on "the Hurricane"? (Denzel Washington)

The copy of the Hurricane on my samsung dvd/vcr combo skips right around chapter 14 (when the family from canada starts trying to get Carter out of jail.) The picture goes out of synch with the sound and picture about chapter 15 and i gave up on it. I got this from blockbuster, so i'll try getting another copy.

Also during some of the prison scenes, did anyone notice any edge enhancement? I looked around for reviews, but didn't find any that mention this, so i wonder if this is my player, or perhaps the new tv needs adjusting (sony 57' hdtv.)

I've not had any problems with my disc and I've had it for a few years.

Seems like you've posted having problems with a couple of discs lately, which would lead me to believe you're player is going bad. That or you have terrible luck with getting messed up discs.

yeah, don't know yet, but amazingly, the infamous casino flipper plays great on my player.
