What's the criteria for voting on the "Best DVD" of the month?
Why would Sin City be on that list? Isn't it bare-bones? How could a bare bones DVD (even if it looks stunning) be counted as a "Best DVD of the month"?!?!?!
Let's say a DVD is a great film, and has a great transfer, but no features. Should that be a better DVD release than a good film with a very good transfer and some extra features?
Where do inserts fit into all this?

I can not, for the life of me, understand how a bare bones release that is guaranteed to be a double-dip is in the lead.
Don't get me wrong, I love the movie... but there were much better releases. You have the Blues Brothers coming back from OOP land and the long awaited Muppet Show on DVD with all the episodes, just to name 2.

I agree that Sin City should not be winning. People seem to be voting for their favorite movie on DVD, not the best DVD of the month. We should not support bare bones releases like this.

I chose Gladiator. Sin City is an awsome movie but this release is far from being the best overall DVD released in August. When I choose, I look at A/V quality, content, and packaging/artwork as well as the film being good.

Christ, you can get a standard case for the Simpsons.
