Mine doesn't. Either your friend has another region... has a bootleg... or is confusing closed captioning w/subtitles.

The R1 version has closed captioning, but not subtitles. I think your friend doesn't know the difference between the two (if you're talking about the R1 version of course). I'm 100% positive since I'm currently watching it (again).

Thanks. Yeah, I'm fairly certain he meant closed captioning. But I didn't even know those were available, so I guess I'll use them, inferior as they are. Subtitles would've been nice though. Do the newer HBO sets have them?
