I want to see those three docs as well.
I hope that the DVD features the original French soundtrack with English subs, which is a totally different movie than what aired in North America.

Just came back from seeing this wonderful film as well, and am looking forward to picking up the DVD. Like others have mentioned, I hope there will be plenty of extras (discussions with the crew about filming in such harsh conditions, etc....)

Excellent doc. I might buy it if it has the original French doc on there too.

The American version is completely different from the French.
A whole new musical score has been made to the American version. Moreover, 5 minuttes has been cut on the American version as well - (a sex scene, maybe...? LOL!)
On the other hand, In the "original" French version, 3 of the penguins has human voice-over. Daddy-penguin, Mommy-penguin and baby-penguin.
BTW, Taiwan already has a single DVD available to buy - including DTS as well as an awsome 3-Disc with tons of bonus features.

What in the world is going on with this release?
I picked up a copy yesterday at Wal-Mart and I can tell you the menu does NOT look like that. It's just penguins in front of a pink background.
Also, the picture quality is atrocious, especially ni the first 20 minutes. I don't have a reference-standard set up but I watched it on two different TVs (a projection and an LCD) and the picture looks murky, the colors muddled, the footage grainy. I realize they are filming this in the South Pole but it is nowhere near the quality of a lot of other nature documentaries I have seen (image quality wise).
