Not sure if this is necessary, but I'm one of the few who actually really likes this movie. I'll probably just stick with the regular special edition I've had for years though. I think most of the features are the same.

If anything, I'd want a shorter version. I quite like the film, for all its silliness and especially its strong supporting cast - but sometimes it takes itself far too seriously.
I wonder will this just be the deleted scenes reinstated, now with the music that they couldn't license before.

I recently rented this movie to see it for the first time. What's interesting about it is that all by itself it seems to serve as an audition by Alan Tudyk ("Wash" on Firefly/Serenity) for his current stint on Broadway (subbing for Hank Azaria) in "Monty Python's Spamalot."
Tudyk was great in Spamalot, and great in this movie too, I thought. It seems very Python-influenced, if you look at it out of the corner of your eye.

I like this movie a lot but don't like the idea of a longer cut. I may rent it if the reviews are good enough but I dunno if I'd buy it.
