So who thinks Universal Home Video will NOT release the full four and a half hours of bonus features that appeared on the laserdisc box set of Peter Jackson's upcoming director's cut release of THE FRIGHTENERS?

Universal initially botched the JAWS dvd by not releasing the entire two hour documentary available on the laserdisc box set until, oh..what, the third dvd edition?

Maybe we'll all have to wait for THE FRIGHTENERS: DIRECTOR'S CUT 30 ANNIVERSARY edition.

DVDLASER.com noted the following when they first reviewed the laserdisc box set:

Thanks to the cancellation of Peter Jackson's King Kong , the director was left with an opening in his schedule, so he poured his efforts into the supplementary section accompanying the Universal Studios Home Video Pioneer Signature Collection Director's Cut release, The Frighteners (42970, $50), and the result is an astounding four-and-half hour documentary about making the movie, as well as a complete audio commentary track accompanying the now 123 minute film.
