Buffy & Angel - The Complete Collection On DVD

Hi people,

As you probably remember the UK enjoyed the Complete Buffy Series DVD set not so long ago but now if you check amazon.com and amazon.co.uk both Angel and Buffy Complete Collections are on the way to DVD for both Regions. Considering this and the fact that fans like me need to pre-order ASAP (even though its not in limited supply this time) which region would we assume is the better choice??? Or is the most likely thing going to be that there will be no difference?? I'd like to see what you guys have to say before I commit to a pre-order of either Region 1 or 2.

Buffy UK

Angel UK

Buffy US

Angel US

The discs inside each set are going to be identical to those already released in each region. If you prefer the latter seasons of Buffy in widescreen, go with Region 2. If you side with Joss Whedon and want full-frame, go with Region 1.

Thanks for the replies. I take it from your comment Josh Z that Region 1 of Buffy might be the better choice.... is the full-frame transfer crisp though?? Also does this apply to the Angel series or was that all widescreen??

All of the Angel seasons were in widescreen with the exception of season 1.

It's a matter of personal preference. Debate on the subject tends to get heated.

I prefer the widescreen versions, but the full-frame is perfectly legitimate.

The Angel DVDs have the same aspect ratio in both Region 1 and Region 2. It is only Buffy seasons 4-7 that differ.
