Now this is one of the sweetest setups (and nicest dvd collections) that I've seen on here.

Dave, what's that figure on top of your center speaker?

I believe the retail price on it was $165, I think I picked it up for a shade under $100.

It is from a show called Battle Vixens or Ikki Tousen. It is imported from Japan, but I picked mine up on eBay. Never seen the show, but liked the look. Here is a sample picture of what it looks like.

This toy went for around $25 bucks at Tower last year arround Dec. 21-24, 2005 (they got a 50%-75% sale) there were a lot in stock. I guess its not selling well due to its too weird looking design for a hellboy figure.

Great start, but I hope the sports cards aren't damaged by the heat coming off the cable box.

Here is my decent-sized collection. I live in an apartment, so no dedicated media room yet.
The "DVD corner" of my entertainment wall:

Just for fun, my CD collection (this unit is 5 feet tall and holds about 1500):

The "Great Unwatched Masses" section of my collection. These are the ones I haven't seen yet (either on DVD in particular, or for blind buys, ever). I try to watch them more or less in order, and then move the ones I want to keep into my regular collection in alphabetical order. This case also helps me keep track of how much I'm buying, so that when I have too much stuff (like now) I can put a moratorium on purchases for awhile until I can get this section weeded down a bit. I hate having a bunch of different storage units, and since I like this case a lot I'll try to get another one ($40 at Big Lots) once I get my rebate from the WB TV on DVD deal and will get rid of the smaller storage units.

The A-M's:

The M-S's:

The S-Z's and Music section (bottom shelf and a half).

I didn't bother with a picture of my "home theater" since for now it is extremely basic (a 20" RCA TV and RCA DVD player). I hope to upgrade one or both units this year.

Ok, everyone has posted such nice collections lately.. here is mine. I hope all the photos aren't overkill. At any rate, the set up is a little sloppy because I don't own the place and can't make changes. I will be moving in a few months, so this is just a temporary set up. I have an awesome theatre layout planned for when I move, and will have almost $1000 worth of custom framing done for horror movie posters.. Can't wait! Until then, here is my crap...

First, we'll start off with the "full view" of the DVD shelf..

Now, onto the small but growing Criterion close ups..

Disney...

Music...

Now onto the tops of the shelves!

Phantasm UK Set... wooo!

All the Back to the Future cars..

Gir!

Kong!

Figures..

Some of you have nice projectors... I have 5! I collect old 8MM projectors just because they are nostalgic to films and film making.. some of my vinyl is also in the pic.

8MM cameras for the same reason.. these are in my workshop..

The Couch! Theatre seating with bins in the section deviders, and cup holders..

The Remote!

Home Theatre

and finally the autographs..

Home Theatre Set Up:
Samsung HLM507W 50 in. DLP HDTV TV
Samsung DVD-HD841 DVD Player
Yamaha HTR-5630 Receiver w/ Yamaha Speakers
SNES
N64

Computer Set Up (not pictured):
Dual 2.5 Ghz Powermac G5 w/ GeForce 6800 Ultra video card, 4.5 Gigs of ram, 500 gigs HD space.
23" Aluminum Flat Panel LCD
Pioneer CLD-1070 LaserDisc Player (for transfering OOP titles to DVD)
Phillips VCR (for transfering OOP titles to DVD)
Sony MDS-JE510 MiniDisc Deck

JSwarce, I actually saw it in several people's collections in previous "Post Pictures of your DVD Collection" threads, and looked for it on eBay. I got it for around $8 shipped. Tons of them up there right now, just search "M&M Movie".

I love how teamwinfan has displayed his figures on the wall. Maybe I will try that out with some of mine this weekend. That looks good.

TeamWinFan - Are those board games still available at Target?

NICE set up, BTW!! I am a "just starting out" collector of old cameras. I plan to display them in a similiar way once I move!

Ok, so it's been a while since I've updated the photos of my DVD library. I'm up to 561 titles, so here's some eye candy, including my newest addition.

Wide shot, trying to include boxed sets.

Little closer up, to include single titles.

My nifty Episode 3 POP display, housing "The Saga".

My absolute pride and joy. MST3K, Criterion Spinal Tap, and This Island Earth.

After seeing some of these pics, I wish I didn't get rid of my movie maniac figures.

I had 18" Leatherface, Edward Scissorhands, Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers. Also had Freddy vs Jason boxset, Alien queen, and several more.

Thanks! My Hollywood Video got it for the Episode 3 DVD release for the sellthrough copies. Fortunately, they sold out within a week, I closed the night it was going to be tossed, and nobody else wanted it.

6 slots, 6 movies. It's only logical what I was to do with it.

I'm cheating because these aren't my pics, but I've got the first two on the way. The third (Final Battle Kroenen) is out of stock @ sideshow and I'm on the waitlist, but who knows..
