TV GUIDE & AMC DVDs from Wellspring???
Hello all, I am seeing a lot of interesting titles under the titles of TV GUIDE and AMC (American Movie Classics) however, they seem incredibly inexpensive. This makes me question the quality even if they have reputations associated with America's #1 Television magazine and a Movie Channel which, at one time, had a good name (before they discarded the TCM format and became a commercial-filled station). Has anyone sampled these yet, and if so, what is your opinion? Do they have reoccurring logos that appear on the screen, etc.? Thank you in advance!

I haven't seen them, but they're just public domain cheapies with a brand slapped on 'em, so don't go in expecting much.

I bought one of these AMC DVDs. It was the detective one. It has four films and the quality varies from rough 35mm prints to really bad 16mm prints. The films are watchable, but the AMC name means nothing. Well considering the crap they now show on AMC maybe the name is a big clue as to what you will be getting.
