I don't think they 'fixed' it or reissued it - but I never had a problem with my copy at all.

Bah humbug. I just looked at that German set. Perhaps we only needed a 3-disc -- either with the theatrical cut via branching or without the theatrical cut at all -- but we definitely should have gotten better than a flipper. Grr.
