I hope you have a flame-proof suit, because you're not going to be very popular around these parts.

Also, have you noticed certain movies that were originally filmed in 2.35:1 anamorphic, don't look all that bad in Fullscreen? Most I've seen are awful, but some don't look too bad for some reason. Like "Halloween", "Over the Top" and "Urban Legend" for example.
What Josh said. Also, I simply refuse to believe that Carpenter's Halloween looks...shudder....better in fool-screen. Carpenter is a noted Cinemascope-composition enthusiast.

Sorry for no update to the post...

The speech went well, I sliced up a print of The Last Supper. I talked about Ernie Hudson in Ghostbusters, and I gave some stats.

I did not, however, mention the rare instances when the Full Screen fits the screen with the same material as the widescreen plus some additional on the top and bottom.

I got an A on the speech, and she loved the visual aid. Thanks for all your help.

Well, you guys did help with the material, but the presentation, outline, and sweat filled speech was all me!

That was probably a good idea, not getting into the unmatted full-screen. Keep it simple for lay-people. They might actually think that's good, if there's "additional" material that wasn't seen in the widescreen presentation. Congrats on the A!
