Wind in the Willows: Series two

For all the stop motion fans, the Wind in the Willows: series two (that's second season for us Yanks) is now out. The series two set has green background, but otherwise looks very similar to the first series set.

I just saw it at Frys Electronics yesterday, but neglected to pick it up. I wasn't expecting it to be out now, was a bit confused about about the "series two" designation, and couldn't recall what the background color was on the set I already had (turns it it was "series one" which has a blue background).

While I'm something of a technocratic type and don't really share the series "those were the simpler, good old days" story philosophy, the stories are wonderfully told. The animation is near flawless. The characters are unique, identifiable and sympathetic, even (after a while) those wily and sneaky weasels. Great family viewing and for anyone who appreciates puppet animation. I highly recommend the series.

I just might have to head into town tonight.
