what a shame...I will not buy any Star wars films....ever until they are finally all packaged in one boxset on BluRay. Looks like I have some time to kill til then.

Life's too short. If you like the films, buy them. Besides, you may be waiting 10 years or more before a box set on Blu-Ray is released, assuming Blu-Ray doesn't lose in the format war. Lucas is known for not releasing DVDs until the format achieves a large installed base. That way he can maximize profits.

Since the New Star Wars Trilogy 3-dvd Set thread has been closed, I will mention here that I finally saw one of those new sets today at a local retailer, exhibited alongside the 4-disc set. Price was sub $40. Looked like a perfectly fine purchase to anyone who wants the movies without the extras.
