HHH said he was one of the most unprofessional people he ever worked with...but they don't have him explain why (I think it was because Warrior didn't want to lay out the match with HHH before WM and just expected HHH to sell and lay down for him).

If I remember correctly Vince McMahon wanted an actual match to take place between HHH and the Warrior where it would be a back and forth competition. The Warrior refused to do this upon showing up at WM12 and demanded to squash HHH. The Warrior was always scheduled to win the match BTW.

Greg

It's a Wal-Mart exclusive. It's actually $19.98 plus tax. 3 PPVs. The box says it's 10 hours of content.

whoops: Turborobb beat me to it. Yes, it's very much worth it for the all cage match PPV alone. That's the only one I've seen yet, but I hear the other two PPVs are even better.

Calum Waddell 09-28-05 07:20 PM

Definately time for me to relive some childhood memories with this. I loved the Warrior as a kid, and haven't watched wrestling in donkey's years... but everything I've since heard about the guy points to something of a lunatic and his homophobic/ bigoted rantings have made me sick to my stomach. This DVD should be great though - if I recall, the late Rick Rude managed to drag some fine matches out the big lunk in the late eighties.

The Superstar? Well, let's see what's on it first...I was born in '84 and been a fan since '89 until now (nope, never quit, not even through the New Generation leeeeeeeeeeeeeean years), so I'm not that familiar. I've heard 8 billion people a day say Hogan-HBK-SCSA-The Rock never would've happened without him, though, so I'd be interested to see what's included.

Stupid question but is there any T & A in TNA, if you know what I mean?

I watched it the first year it was on with weekly ppvs, when I had Directv and it was really bad for the most part. So i havent seen it since 2003

Sorry I had to ask in a WWE thread..

boredsilly 09-29-05 05:52 AM

I just watched the Ultimate Warrior dvd and as petty as the WWE came of, that shit was still comical. The interview section was the funniest thing I've seen in ages especially the WM VI bit.

When I was a kid I thought the Warrior was awesome, like Hulk Hogan only stronger and faster. I didn't realize how bad he was until watching this though as I fell out of wrestling and didn't come back until the Attitude era.

If you mean "T" is for "Total" and "A" for "action, then yes.

It's miles above what they used to do with the weekly PPVs. I wasn't impressed with the weekly shows either. Much better since they went monthly.

Yes, this should definitely have its own thread.

3 dvds for Jake Roberts and only one for Superstar Billy Graham thats dissapointing. Between the MSG & Philly Spectrum matches that were shown on cable in the late 70s and with the Superstar's 2 WWF comebacks and Mid Atlantic run. There should of been enough matches to fill a 3 dvd set Has there been any new of a Bob Backlund dvd set.

It is poossible that the e-tailor made a mistake in listing it as 1 disc. :) Hopefully that is the case.

turborobb 09-29-05 04:01 PM

I hit another Wal Mart looking for the TNA set but came up empty, has anyone out there actually seen it in the stores? I hate ordering stuff online when I don't have to.

I bought mine at Wal-Mart. They had 3 there. ALL had floaters. And my copy had 3 disks (out of the 6) that were completely scratched. I took it back that evening and they had already sold out. Went to another Wal-Mart and they never got them in. So I kept them. Played them over the past 2 days and seemed to play fine.

Yeah, I'd be apprehensive about ordering them online too. You'll probably get some scratched disks.

CaseyB 09-29-05 07:10 PM

That's a really good price for those 3 TNA shows. There isn't a Wal-Mart close by me...and shipping is probably going to ruin the deal for me.

For those of you who are "Superstar" Billy Graham fans, he's going to be on the Raw show this Monday night on their return to USA Network. I know Graham certainly influenced a lot of guys, most notably Hogan, HHH and Jesse Ventura. The DVD is being released to coincide with the autobiography they're releasing on him. :)

Ahhhhh man. I am definitely wanting to get that WM boxset, but I'll probably wait until I hear some reviews of the discs.

If they pulled Ventura's commentary off of IV, V and VI for not wanting to pay him royalties, I'm going to transfer my original PPV VHS recordings onto DVD. It won't be the same without the body!

dadaluholla 09-30-05 03:15 PM

yeah if they are going to be all hacked up and have stuff cut out like that, I will probably pass on the box (as much as it pains me).

SLeopold 09-30-05 08:42 PM

Regarding the TNA set at Wal-Mart, I've checked 4 Wal-Marts in the last two days (Beavercreek, OH, Wilmington Pike, Dorothy Lane, Dayton Mall). Not only did I not find it, but one Wal-Mart (Dayton Mall) told me they weren't getting any in. She called another one for me (Huber Heights), and they said the same thing. The lady she spoke with said that she'd had someone ask about it already, and that either her or the customer had called the other area stores, and none of them had it in. Whether they get them in or not, I've wasted enough gas checking in-store, so I just went ahead and ordered it online.
