I don't know, they most likely will. There's episodes I believe on the set that were never aired before, so it's possible they will be. But I don't know much about the Time Life sets so, I dunno.

Judging by how many are duplicated in the first volume alone, I very much doubt that.

I was curious about the "Director's Cut" episodes... so I started doing comparisons to the Time Life discs.
* 1-900-BEAVIS - On the Time Life disc, when the boys first make the phone call, they laugh and Butthead says "She said something" and they continue to laugh. On the Paramount disc, this line is omitted.
During the call the lady asks if they're there, and on the Time Life disc Butthead says "I think I just innoculated" (which is kinda funny actually). This line is removed in the Director's Cut.
Then at the end, the last line in the Time Life version is "Hey, maybe we'll hear some butt wind." This is removed from the Director's Cut.
So, after checking one episode, the Director's Cut removes three lines of dialogue and adds nothing. I'll post other changes as I find them.
Needless to say, I'm hanging onto my Time Life discs.

* Late Night with Butthead - The new Director's Cut removes the first minute and a half of this episode, starting instead where B&B pitch the idea for their talk show. It removes Letterman's cameo voice appearance. Later, the director's cut removes B&B celebrating with some air guitar after successfully pitching their show.
So again, the only thing the Director's Cut does is remove stuff.

* Figure Drawing - The DC removes a line where their teacher says he's about to teach a class on Aroma Therapy. Three or four lines are then cut after B&B rearrange the letters on the sign. Several other dialogue cuts throughout. No additions.

not that it really matters, as it seems stuff is removed and nothing added, but can you compare the run times against the three you've posted sofar lotsofdvds? ..thanks ..
I was going to sell my TimeLife discs, but thinking I'm gonna hold on to em now...though I didn't watch half of them and ahve this Vol1 pre-ordered...not sure if I want it now..

* Held Back - The DC removes the lines "This desk is giving me a stiffy" and "I don't even have room for a stiffy".
* Tainted Meat - The DC removes a bit from the middle of a news broadcast talking about "a fierce new parasite" in regards to Beavis making everyone sick at Burger World.
Those are the only DC episodes I can check up against the three Time Life DVDs I have. If anyone wants me to continue I can check the rest with my VHS tapes. Just let me know.

So, where's the "Mike Judge Raped My Childhood!" posts!?!
Seriously, this really sucks. It's bad enough he's not releasing all the eps because he doesn't like them. And as much as I don't like it, I understand the problems with not releasing them with all the videos. But this crap of cutting out all these lines really dissappoints me.
Well, at least I saved a few bucks.

Mike Judge doesn't care about dvdtalk!
ok wait....i am gonna just get out of hand a little bit here. I know some things the guy doesn't have control over, but lets look at the track record so far...
No commentary of deleted scenes on office space.
Cut lines, videos, and best of releases for B&B
King of the Hill disc got dumbed down to double sided disc with no special features...
again, some of this is out of his hands, but the track record is sour...

Glad I held on to my TLs.
Calling these "director's cuts" doesn't seem right - can anyone get to the bottom of this and find out if Judge is actually responsible for these cuts?

Now on the Letterman episode... I can't imagine they couldn't get the rights to Letterman's likeness from the man himself, since he LOVES B&B and certainly wouldn't have held them up for cash. The little tune B&B sing after their success at getting their show on might have been a rights issue.
At first I was as mad as when I came upon the Quantum Leap music replacements, but I found out recently that B&B are airing (with videos intact) on both Comedy Central and MTV2. So I set my DVR to record every ep and I'll just make my own discs.

This really does suck. This is like Tom and Jerry, Ren and Stimpy, and the Muppet Show all over again.
I went ahead and made a post on the Home Theater Forum informing about the edits, i'd like to see what alibis Mike Judge's ass-kissing zombies can contrive to excuse these edits. they might even be more laughable than John K's lameass excuses for last year's edited Ren and Stimpy set.

Thank you for posting these comparisons! You've saved me the hassle of buying it!
That said, I wouldn't mind hearing how the rest of the episodes have been butchered.
