Why not? Id rather have a random assortment of epidoes then 'the ones where beavis and butthead eat nachos' like the current TimeLife releases.

Great news! Sold my Time-Life sets about a month ago for $130 because the quality and selection of episodes just wasn't that good.

They don't break down like ordinary seasons, i.e., there isn't a uniform number of episodes per season.

These DVD's over the three sets will probably contain the entire series. I don't care if there are no music videos. I'll buy this and I'll be happy to have a Beavis And Butt-Head collection that actually had Mike Judge involved in the process.

A few videos are better than nothing. Each set would have $300 if they had to clear all the music videos. The videos were hit and miss, but some were hilarious. Anyone else remember when they did U2 Lemon? U2 is my favorite band and I just loved hearing "Crap is singing, Crap is playing the Drums...

How's that?

The 6 Time-Life sets contained every episode of B&Bh, sans the videos. Good or bad, they were all in there.

That doesn't seem right.

There are 183 episodes so that means there would be about 30 episodes a disc.

I have 4 of the dvds I don't remember there being that many episodes, I'm not at home so I can't check.

180, or so, episodes, at under 10 minutes each (including videos) = 30 hours

subtract videos = 15 hours

That would be about 2.5 hours per disc. The discs are a little shorter than that. But they start at the begining with the first episode, and go chronologically, so I think they're just missing the last batch of episodes which were the weakest ones anyways.

"Auction is for an out of print collection of 6 The Best of Beavis and Butt-Head dvds. Contains 82 episodes!"

the episodes on the History 2-disc set and the 6 Time Life sets were mutually exclusive -- no overlapping. and i know there were more episodes not on dvd yet.

i have yet to see an official press release. Pretty much this thread, the sign at comicon, and what tvshowondvd.com said. So i'm sure they will make a big deal of it when it is announced, but they are sitting on the press release at this point.

They're just teasing us about this. They'll probably cancel and pull on release day to cause another ebay frenzy. I sure hope we get an official release announcement soon.

Paramount Home Entertainment will release Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection vol. 1 on November 8th. While details for this release have been harder to pry loose than you would care to imagine, we can tell you that the three-disc set will include fourteen episodes hand-picked by creator Mike Judge (a few presented in "director cuts"), eleven music videos with commentary featuring the slacker duo, a "Taint of Greatness: The Journey Of Beavis and Butt-Head" featurette and a collection of interviews and appearances with Beavis and Butt-Head. Retail will be $39.99. Look for two more volumes to be released next year.

Only 14 episodes? I hope they at least mean half-hour episodes.

Yeah 14 eps seems extremely thin for a 3-discer. Are we getting DTS 6.1 EX and five commenaries on each episode?

We only get 3 volumes and this one only has 14 episodes? Even if that's half-hour episodes, there's no way we'll get close to getting most of the episodes released. WTF?
