Does anyone know when Puddle Cruiser is coming out on dvd?

According to BL themselves, supposedly 10-11-05.

Anybody have any updated confirmation on this one? Has 20th Century Fox made the announcement, or is it stull a Broken Lizard announcement only? I'm really looking forward to this one...so I was wondering if anybody had heard anything set in stone.

I thought they had huge licensing problems with the original alt-country soundtrack.

That would be mighty cool.

is it worth a blind buy, or is it a rental?

I picked it up. Not too funny, but a good first movie for them. I still need to listen to the Commentaries, but i'm sure they alone will be worth the purchase.

I hadn't realized this was released this week, so i'm going to try and pick it up this weekend as a blind buy. I''ve enjoyed Broken Lizard's past work though.

Can anyone who bought it comment on the soundtrack? I saw the film when it was first released in around '99-'00, and at that point they hadn't even tried to get the rights to the included songs. They mentioned that the music would have to be changed for a wide release, and I assume for a video release as well.

From what I can tell, the music has been changed...i didn't see this before the dvd to compare it to anything, but soundtrack changes were mentioned briefly in the commentary.

just a note....it is 1.66:1 non-anamorphic letterboxed

I rented this the other day. Movie had some funny moments but wasn't on the same level as Super Troopers or even Club Dread for that matter.
