Subtitle problems on widescreen tv
I just got a 42" plasma tv that I just love. There is one issue that may be untreatable but I hoped maybe someone in these forums would have an idea about how to solve this:
I love foreign films and I love films in anamorphic widescreen. However when I played Run Lola Run in anamorphic, where it filled the whole screen, the bottom line of subtitles was off the screeen, and if only one line was present, it was off the screen. Unfortunately this has happened with ever subtitled DVD I've tried.
Is there a solution? I apologize if this has been talked about but I tried search and couldn't find anything.
Thank you VERY MUCH for any help.

If you have your TV settings correct, the subtitles should be on the screen entirely. The way I know if some older DVDs are actually anamorphic (some are not labeled aas such but still are anamorphic) is that I check them on my Sony 42 inch widescreen on the "Normal" (4:3) display first. If the image is squeezed so that the people seem thin and stretched vertically, I know that the disc is anamorphic and I watch it on "Full," where it stretches out to normal proportions.
