Off topic, but does anyone know if there are any plans for a Mighty Joe Young (1949) DVD release?

Scrubs S1, Batman SEs.
And i think when I and the above poster talk about the four Batman Special Editions its of the already released movies. My most anticipated movie was definitely Batman Begins, but that was in theatres. Now that i've seen it, its not on my most anticipated DVD release list. The original four Batman flicks i am anticipating more b/c they sorely need the special edition treatment and i cant wait to see all the special features and even a new cut of the fourth film.

Can't say there is a specific title I've really been waiting for (although I guess maybe Stargate SG1 s8 would qualify), but overall it's been a GREAT year for TV on DVD:
Stargate SG1 & Atlantis
new Twilight Zone sets
Hogan's Heroes
Tales from the Crypt
Monk
Battlestar Galactica
Dead Zone
etc, etc, etc...

Looking at my list, I'd have to say either Dune or Gladiator. I'm also now eagerly awaiting Batman Begins later this year so I can watch it over and over again.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) - 2-Disc Set from MPI Home Video, under their Dark Sky label. It will feature a brand new, totally remastered, 16x9 enhanced transfer (produced by Don May, Jr., President of Synapse Films, in 2003 for the VOOM HD Satellite Service. Don previously worked for Elite Entertainment and produced the transfer for their LaserDisc release of Chainsaw in 1996. Pioneer used the wrong transfer for their DVDs in 1998 and 2003.), an extended cut of the 2000 documentary "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Shocking Truth" produced by David Gregory of Exploited Video in the UK (formerly 72 minutes, now 80 minutes), a new commentary track with David Gregory, Marilyn Burns, Paul Partain (now deceased), Bob Burns (also gone), and Allen Danziger, etc. It's still uncertain if the extras from Pioneer's DVD will make it to the 2-Disc Set. No release date yet.
I'm also looking forward to
Alone in the Dark (1982) (Special Edition with commentary by Director Jack Sholder, interviews, etc., Image Entertainment) - September 13
Psycho II (1.85:1, 16x9, Universal) - September 13
Psycho III (1.85:1, 16x9, Universal) - September 13
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (Divimax Series, Anchor Bay) - No date
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (Divimax Series, Anchor Bay) - No date
Halloween Documentary DVD with interviews from most of the cast members from parts 1-8. (90 minutes) - No date

I'm astonished there's been no announcement for *most* of the following..but the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Jaws has been reworked what seems like 12 times already.
List:
Face Off (SE)
Broken Arrow (SE)
Crimson Tide (SE)
Scent of a Woman (SE)
Grosse Point Blank (SE)
The Game (SE)
*Any* John Hughes film SE but especially Weird Science & Planes, Trains...
Child's Play Series (SE)
Thank G-D I received a proper 'Swimming with Sharks' this year...patience is a virture. Yes, it is.

is Broken Arrow really slated for release - I love my DTS laserdisc of this film, the audio just rips.
Now if only Universal would get off their high horse and let Woo deliver his unrated gory version of Hard Target, I'd be one happy camper.

Definitely the Sopranos - Season 5. I've been itching to have it on DVD ever since the season originally aired, since I don't have HBO and am addicted to the show. Finding it at Sam's almost a week before the release date only sweetened the deal.
Behind that one, the next two are probably the WB' Film Noir Vol. 2 boxed set and King Kong.
