I checked out my local Wal-mart, and the only non-normal looking V package I saw was the one w/ Animatrix.

Anyone see this weeks Target ad? They have like 6 exclusive bonus discs! I think this may be the sign I need to stop this silly collecting them thing.....

Anyone know if the bonus discs available at CC are also available through CC online purchases? Interested in the disc for Apocalypse Now Dossier, though i think it is just a rehash of what is on the Redux disc. . .

To clarify, it is all the bonus features from both previous 'Apocalypse Now' releases which weren't ported over to "the complete dossier". The big thing, in my mind, is the footage of the desctruction of the compound, from the first release.

One other thing: Circuit City (at least in NYC) is charging money for the disc. The regular price is 14.99, the sale price is 12.99, but, according to the employees, the sale is only on the one without the "free" bonus disc. Which is included in all of the packages.

I was going to start a fuss over this (waiting until I found a manager; I wouldn't take that out on a clerk) but I didn't feel like getting into it over $2.

I think it does the same thing if you mention CourtTV, not sure what the reason for that is.

Thanks for the video listing on that bonus disc, but all of those are on the Pure 80s set that came out a couple weeks ago.

Hmm- it let me type CourtTV without changing it to "SpongeBob SquarePants", like I saw it do a while ago.

Yep, it's only intended as a sampler to advertise the boxed set. I would have preferred getting the two videos I'm actually interested in off the third volume as a bonus, but that probably wouldn't make sense. I read somewhere that the volumes were supposed to also be available separately, but I haven't seen them offered that way at retail.

You have to be careful trying to get that one -- I called CC on Wednesday and the "dude" who picked up told me they only got about ten copies of the sampler and were all out, but I took a chance today and whammo, free DVD sampler. Picked up the "Snakes On A Plane" freebie while I was there, but just for the box, since it's miles away from anything I'd actually want to watch.

For what it's worth, the '80s DVD giveaway CC had a while back was from VH1 Classic's "We Are The '80s" series. "PURE '80s" is a different series and most likely a different company.
