macnorton,

I bought a copy of Clerks 2 w/ the bonus disc. I was going to take it back in a few days, unless you want it. Send me an email if you're interested.

So, as far as I can tell from Speedy's ads, absolutely no bonus disc for Talladega Nights this week, right? Anyone know whether Walmart's offering one?

They will NOT have one. They have a picture when you walk in. It will be packaged with one of 3 movies. One of which was Groundhog Day:SE

That's an odd pairing..... both comedies I guess...

Off topic, Groundhog Day is on my top ten movies of all time list. I haven't seen Talledaga Nights yet, but I don't think it will crack the top 1000 judging by the trailer.

dont waste ur money; i know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and Talladega Nights was Will Ferrell's biggest opening ever, but when i watched it in theaters, i was like ehhhh.. C+. Then i DLed the "unrated" version last week to give it another chance, and it was even worse.. D+. it has its moments (like 5 maybe), but it's nothing close to Will Ferrell's better movies (Anchorman, Elf, Old School), and i love the guy... he's from my hometown

Joining the bandwagon...

I think Elf was my first exposure to Will Ferrell. He's been hit or miss in his career, but more hit than miss.

Back on topic, I'm off work tomorrow, so I'll be making the store circuit and reporting back on what I found.

In your travels, could you please report back on the Devil Wears Prada Target Exclusive? Mine didn't have it, and I'm curious as to what the packaging looks like.

I saw it today. It's a bit like the Davinci Code packaging. DVD and book housed in an over-sized slipcover.

I bought the Exclusive Edition today.

The second disc comes with a few Fox Movie Specials.

Not really worth 22.99, but the book included is rather funny.

yeah...haha...cost of living is kinda annoyingly high, but crime is super low (always among top 10 safest cities in US every year), cops are bastards cuz they have nothing to do (supposedly will ferrell was rumored to make a film about this, but doesnt look like it), beautiful weather year round (no such thing as "seasons"), awesome beaches close by, good distance to LA/SD/LV (0.5/1/4 hrs, respectively), even closer to disney (10 min), streets are wide, dvds easy to get, home to formerly the busiest movie theater in the world, city might have the most movie screens in US (not sure bout that, but Orange County in general definitely has the most screens in US), ... what else can i say? i miss socal, it's the fucking best dude, i'd highly consider it and check it out

I just skimmed them, but I don't think it is fluff.

The bonus DVD, packaged in a separate white sleeve between the book and DVD, contains two featurettes that apparently originally appeared on the Fox Movie Channel.

The first is Fox Movie Channel presents Casting Session. I just skimmed it, but I think it was about 15 minutes long and had interviews with cast and producers.

The second is Fox Movie Channel presents Life After Film School. It was longer, maybe 30 minutes, and had three film students interviewing the producer, Wendy Finerman.
