question about the John Wayne collection series
not much going on yet over at the Paramount site www.johnwayneondvd.com but from what I understood, the series was getting set to kick off with the long awaited DVDs of The High and the Mighty and Island in the Sky. Well, while digging through the $5.50 bin at wal-mart today I pulled out Hatari! which had a different cover art from the ten or so other ones of the same title (the old, "yellowish" tinted cover can be seen in the reviews section here on this site) it still looks about the same with Wayne with his hands up as if yelling, but the background is white with that red "The John Wayne Collection" banner across the top with white lettering. Anyone else come across this? - and has the JWC already began rolling out?

Sometimes individual releases like that get themed packaging. It doesn't necessarily mean it's part of this upcoming set. Though, on the other hand, sometimes actor or director-themed boxsets use pre-existing dvds.

I imagine that this must be a re-release, as mine just has "widescreen collection" across the top. Glad to see Paramount acquire Republic's library this year...would really like to see a decent print of 'The Quiet Man'.
