Sept. 13th Psycho 2 & 3, Why no Psycho 4 ?

This is from DVD Empire, Psycho 2 has already been released before but I don't think 3 has. So if they are being released why no Psycho 4 along with them? That's the one I really want.

I assume that Psycho 4 is not owned by Universal, so it isn't getting released at the same time. That's the one that was made for TV, right? With scenes from Norman's youth?

Universal always distributed this movie on video. It's available as part of a 4 pack in other regions with the Psycho set. Hopefully we'll get 16:9 transfers of 2 and 3. Both were available from Goodtimes on DVD. 2 in 4:3 full screen (I emailed them about it and the response was that they could not get a print to remaster) and 3 in 4:3 letterbox. Their first pressing of 2 said "the bates hotel" instead of motel. I'm sure 4 will follow eventually. I have it on laserdisc.

The best would be if they would present them all in 16:9, with the exception of 4, which was shot for Showtime, in a 4 pack similar to their smokey and the bandit and airport series.

Actually, that sounds like exactly what they would do. Maybe for next year around Halloween time?

I believe 2 and 3 are being re-released by Universal after the license ran out with Goodtimes..
