Is dvd profiler free to use?

Basically it is. I think there's a limit on number of titles (it varies depending on how many locked titles you have I think). I never reached it before paying the optional $25 lifetime registration fee, but some others here have.

It's a very worthwhile program - especially if you own a lot of titles. It's amazing how easy it is to buy another copy of a disc without realizing you already own it (especially with the number of "limited" "director's cut" "super special double triple blockbuster secret edited" editions releases seem to have). I always double check Profiler just to make sure I don't have it in my collection.

When I type in the UPC, it does not show up. When I type the title, it shows up but it looks like a made up generic listing. The UPC on this description isn't anywhere close to the one I have.

Are you connected to the internet when you open the program? When you hit the "Add DVD" button, do you get the message "Connecting to Intervocative Software" and then have to wait a minute or two for the program to download the Online Profile List, Retailer Info, Pricing Info, Conversion Rates, and Plugin Registration? Do you let it go through the entire process of loading all those things?
