"SAW" Question

The DVD itself has a saw graphic, but the entire movie doesn't have anything to do with a table saw or the like. In fact, the only saw which comes close is a metal-type saw.

Glad you were paying attention ...

Maybe they will make up for it in the sequel.

Thought the same thing when I picked up my copy (and saw the cover art in advance online of course). But, since a DVD is round and they used a round saw, it's pretty cool having the DVD have a saw blade all the way around it.

More of an observation.

This movie seems to be a love it or hate it type movie. I loved it. Granted, Carey Elwes and Danny Glover give two of the worst performances in recent movie history, the DVD is worth a purchase (especially given the low price).

Theres also a severed hand on the cover but not in the movie.

I'll add a SAW question. Regarding the fat man in the beginning (victim of the killer)

So he ran through the razor wire because the door would lock him in forever. Why did he believe that he would be in there forever--just because the recording told him that?

Wouldnt someone say 'yeah right'--where in New York City can you be locked somewhere forever without anyone finding/hearing you? Or at least take time and get to the door to see if theres another way out.

"I see" said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.

The table saw was probably used cause it makes it easier for the shape of the DVD. I would have a hard time playing a hacksaw shaped dvd... ?

No, no...you blew it. It's "I see" said the blind man to the deaf man as he picked up his hammer and saw.

Ok, I admit. It wasn't really a question per se, but a question wrapped within a statement.
