Great news - I can now dump the VHS.

Hopefully the soundtrack will be intact (Van Halen, Ramones, Jimi Hendrix etc.)

I distinctly remember that movie, and as I recalled, it was very good. I will be purchasing the DVD as well.

Very cool news! Hate the artwork, though. Vincent Spano has a small role and the main character is not included at all.

Ahem...

Spoiler:
At least Vincent Spano makes it to the end of the film whereas Matt Dillon's character is murdered before the final act of the film.

Yeah, the artwork is crap - they should have stuck with the VHS artwork. That was the first thing I thought of too: Where the hell is Michael Eric Kramer? He's only the main character through whose eyes we see the entire film for God's sake! Even the color treatment is all wrong. Oh well...as long as the DVD is good.
