Why is it with ever subsequent re-release of Jaws the woman's bust size gets smaller and smaller and smaller??
What are the quantifiable differences between the Jaws 25th and 30th anniversary releases?

1. Includes the original mono track, without the re-recorded foley effects.
2. Includes the full laserdisc documentary (2+hours) instead of the shortened version on the 25th.
3. Includes a few other goodies from the LD set that were missing on the 25th.
4. Includes a neat little collector's booklet.
The only thing of significance that is missing (inexplicably) are the trailers.
The lack of trailers is strange and unfortunate. But the addition of the mono track and full documentary make this a no-brainer for me.

The only title I've ever double dipped on (unless you count laserdisc-dvd or the LOTR theatrical/ directors cut) is Casablanca, but I might have to make the exception with Jaws for the making of as I have never seen the 2hr version.

I haven't double dipped much, mainly because I don't have a lot of older dvds since I have only been collecting for a few years. I'm happy with my current anniversary edition of Jaws. The new package looks nice, however not enough to sway me to buy it.
My double dips:
Man on Fire - basically went from the old version to the C.E. for free with trade in, coupon, and free movie ticket.
Daredevil - have both versions
The Grudge - have both versions because I got the D.C. for very cheap new on Ebay.

I've purchased Jaws...
VHS - Twice
Laser Disc - Twice
DVD - Twice
And don't get me started on Dawn of the Dead/Night/Day or the Evil Dead series. Multiple purchases on these. And I'd do it again if a better edition came out.
I guess they have my number.

I am what I like to refer to as a DVD-Aholic, in which entails I will buy ANY dvd that tickles my fancy...I have double dipped MANY MANY times in the past, and I shall do so MANY MANY times in the future!!!
This "sickness" comes with the job of being a DVD-Aholic, and I have come to except it...

I have the Jaws pan and scan discovision laserdisc for nostalgic purposes, the CAV box set w/ book and soundtrack cd, and dts dvd. I don't plan on buying the 30th anniversary version. I like the DTS dvd just fine and the extras are on the laserdisc box set.
I have 2 different laserdiscs of Psycho w/ different covers, the R1 dvd, the R2 PAL dvd, an Asian dvd, several foreign language copies on VHS.
Pulp Fiction: Criterion CAV laserdisc set, R1 DVD, Japanese laserdisc, German VHS, Spanish VHS, Czech VHS, Hungarian VHS, Italian VHS. Sick I know.
I'm afraid I'll have to pass on Casino for lack of a DTS track.

The only movie that I actually tripled dipped on is Enter the Dragon.
I have the laserdisc from 1993. It contained the original US theatrical cut in widescreen. The 20th anniversary edition and now the 2 disc SE.
Edit: I almost forgot. I also triple dipped on Pulp Fiction. I have the original Japanese LD, the Canadian DVD release from a few years ago with the deleted scenes and the current 2 disc set.
Oh damn, I also tripled dipped on the Star Wars OT. I bought it on VHS in 1989,The Definitive LD set and the current DVD set. I know a lot of people triple dipped on this.
I think that's it.
Is replacing a VHS or an LD with a DVD considered double dipping? Because I have quite a few of those which is too much to list.
Future double dips:
The Warriors
The Outsiders
Ong Bak (This might be a triple dip because I intend to get both the Aus. R4 and HKL R2 when they are released to complement the HK disc I already have.)

3. Wow... Goodies.
4. Haven't read a booklet since the original release of Get Shorty...
Sorry to threadcrap, but they really seem to be bleeding the shark dry. I'm sticking with the 25th Ann. version. Besides no doc. about this flick beats the one on the Maniac disc... "Who made the fucking movie? The shark?" - Joe Spinell
