The Korean release of "Wonderful Days" is hard-coded for Region 3.
It has a superb full bit-rate DTS track, in addition to the cool packaging pictured above.

The style of the movie is amazing, a mix of hand-drawn animation, CGI, and live-action miniatures. It all blends together seamlessly. It looks great and has a lot of terrific action sequences.
As slop101 says, the story is OK. It's boilerplate anime sci-fi with a heavy-handed environmental message. It's not bad, and the movie keeps you interested, but the story is something that's been done before in many other, better movies.
I'd recommend it, preferably in the original Korean with subtitles, and also preferably in the "Director's Cut" in the R3 deluxe packaging pictured above.

Is the R3 release still the winner? I'd still like to see this movie, I found a dusty old quicktime trailer for the movie that reminded me to look for it again.
