I always felt that way about him too, especially after King of the Hill began. It seemed like he felt B&B was his way into a real legitimate show and B&B was just him getting to act like a kid for a while and now it's over and he's matured past it.
However he did do a commentary on the movie and it was informative. |

Re: Which TV series will NEVER make it to DVD?
Wonder Years is the one that probably saddens me most. one of the greatest shows in the history of TV about the pains of adolescence - but far too many music rights issues to every get it released for less than $150 a season.

Re: Which TV series will NEVER make it to DVD?
I also don't understand why Crossing Jordan only had the first season released and then nothing else.

Re: Which TV series will NEVER make it to DVD?
I think we need to change the name of the threads in order to add shows that we will never see a complete series release on DVD.
I'm disappointed that I might never see the rest of the following series: Family Ties Murphy Brown Everwood There may be others but I don't remember them right now. |
Re: Which TV series will NEVER make it to DVD?
I highly doubt the Dynasty spinoff, The Colbys, will ever see the light of day.
On top of that, it's unlikely we'll see any of the Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman spinoffs. Fernwood 2Nite anyone? |

I'm sure it's been mentioned.. but a few that i don't know why we would never see a release for.

Re: Which TV series will NEVER make it to DVD?
Apparently, I'm the only person who ever watched this show as no one ever mentions it in these threads:
"Guns of Paradise" starring Lee Horseley. Sadly, I doubt it will ever be released. |

And one of the forgotton gems from 1984, pre-dating the hit series with virtually the same name (and also with George Clooney): E/R - Chicago's Clark Street Hospital was the setting for this comedy about the staff and patients of the hospital's emergency room. Howard Sheinfeld (Elliott Gould) was the sarcastic, talkative doctor who oversaw most of the emergency room treatment. An ear-nose-and-throat specialist, he moonlighted at the hospital doing 48-hour shifts to help him keep up with alimony payments to two ex-wives. Dr. Eve Sheridan (Marcia Strassman in the pilot than played by (Mary McDonnell), his no-nonsense boss at the hospital, wished he would take things a little more seriously and not work such long shifts. Harold Stickley (Jason Alexander) was the hospital administrator, George Clooney as Mark "Ace" Kolmar, the med tech, Joan Thor(Conchata Ferrell), was the head nurse and Lynne Moody as Nurse Julie Williams. The series was based off of a popular stage production of the time. It featured the the hit "I've Got a Real Emergency, Here" (sung by Lou Rawls, written by Jimmy Webb) as its theme song. |

McCloud Seasons 3 thru 7....over 5 years for this show. Something Shout! ought to look into. McMillan and Wife 2 Thru 6 ( I guess S6 is just McMillan) It came out the same time as McCloud as well. Just Shoot Me took forever(5 years) to get it's 3rd season released. Another 5 for season 4??? Newhart. Almost 3 years since season 1 came out. Speaking of Bob Newhart... Somehow if they can't finish off the 2 most popular shows of his, what are the odds of Bob, or George & Leo seeing the light of day???? |

Music Rights. There is so much Popular Music in this show it would probably cost $200.00 A SEASON if the Studios got their Royalties from it. Needless to say at this price only a handful could afford to buy it, certainly not enough for the Studio that produced it (Warner Bros) to make a profit.
